I’m sure everyone has faced this situation at some point. Naturally, our spouse, family members, or even friends might not like the logo idea, especially if they have enclosed themselves with personal preferences. I know taking feedback from your close ones is a good idea. However, in such situations, we often ignore the fact that our logo has to be liked by a group of people who are going to be our future customers.

A good designer will design a logo for you. But a great designer will design a logo for your customers. Fr example, if you are a fintech company, then a designer can not make a pop logo design with pink colour on it, just because you like it. Ultimately, it is not you who will be looking at your logo every day, but likely your customers.
Gaining trust is one of the crucial factors for brands and businesses. As humans, we like to connect emotionally rather than logically. Hence, caring for our customers’ perspective and respecting their choices will not only make a good logo but also a ground of trust.
This myth is widely known, but there is an exception that we need to keep in mind. While a designer knows how to get a good design for a business, a business owner knows more about their business. So, accepting their ideas and inputs as feedback can boost the design. Never take your client’s feedback as an insult to your design. Collaborate with them and create a design together that makes money for both of you.
